We see children as an important part of the church, both now and in the future.
Our goal is to share the Good News of Jesus and help kids and families grow as His followers. We care deeply about their spiritual growth.
In our age-appropriate classes, kids learn that God knows them, Jesus loves them, the Holy Spirit guides them, and they are God's children.
Every Sunday, children from birth to 5th grade can join Kids Worship from 10:30 am to 11:45 am in the Nexus Kids area on the right side of the building. Registration is not required to attend. A Rockstar Volunteer will walk you through the check-in process, answer your questions, and show you to the area. We also believe in the importance of
families worshiping together. On the fourth Sunday of each month, 1st through 5th graders join their parents or trusted adults for Family Worship Sunday.
Young Explorers is a free gift to the community for children birth to 5 yrs. old. A place for parents, grandparents, or care givers to explore a new environment together and meet new friends. A circle time starts around 10:15 am and highlights a theme through song, story, and craft. Light refreshments and snacks are provided and distributed at the parent’s discretion. We meet Tuesdays 9:30 am -12:00 pm, September through June. Come and go as it works with your daily rhythm.

We believe that young people are an important part of the Kingdom of God. Their spiritual formation and growth matters to God and to us. We seek to connect young people from across the Portland Metro area to Christ and to one another. Nexus Youth Group meets Sunday nights from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the Family Life Center (FLC) with Bible teaching, prayer, worship, small group discussions, fun games and snacks provided. Our youth also enjoy exciting events, leadership development, and service opportunities. These things foster a rich environment for meaningful community and spiritual formation.

At Nexus, we create intentional opportunties for young adults ages 18-30 to connect, serve, learn, and grow together. Through bi-monthly book and scripture studies and regular events, we seek to build community that connects young adults with one another and fosters a deep relationship with Jesus.

Everyone is welcome! Our Encouragers Sunday school class meets in the FLC every Sunday Morning. Please come and study the word with us and hear from a rotating lineup of teachers.

We partner with our neighborhood schools, Southridge High School, Aloha High School, CTP and McKinney-Vento by supporting teachers and families. This includes a short-term emergency housing partnership with McKinney-Vento to help shelter those who are unhoused.
School Partnerships
Nexus Church provides a free food pantry to any neighbors in need on the second and fourth Saturdays each month from 8am to 10am, or until supplies run out. Our food pantry includes a free clothes closet.
