Nexus Church is a part of the Church of the Nazarene, a Wesleyan-Holiness Denomination that was birthed out of the American Holiness Movement in the early 1900s. In 2019, we believed God had invited us to continue to take a unique direction as a result of asking this important question: “How do we serve our community better?” In years past, we had been the congregations of Portland First, Eden Community, Beaverton Church of the Nazarene (Lighthouse Church), and Casa Del Luz. In early 2020, we united under a new name, Nexus Church, in order to become a hub of disciple-making, missional engagement and service to our community...
