Ministry Purpose
Prayer is God’s invitation to get to know Him. Just as friends and family members spend time talking with one another to deepen their relationships, so we deepen our relationship with God when we pray. Our ministry purpose is to help embed prayer in the DNA of Nexus Church. Without being in relationship with God, without talking to and listening to God, we are just doing stuff, even if it is good stuff. We want every person who is part of Nexus to talk with God and discern what God is asking them to become and do as they live life and go share Jesus with others.
Minstry
Approach
We believe that we can each individually talk and listen to God. We also believe that in community, prayer becomes even more powerful (For where two or three gathers in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20). We desire to lead Nexus Church in joyfully praising God for the many blessings that have been given to us. Together we lift up the hurts, cries, and struggles of the people of Nexus, our surrounding community, our nations and our world. We do this through rhythms of prayer as a faith community. We want prayer to be a central part of all that we do at Nexus!
